The Social Justice Sewing Academy has some exiting projects and programs coming soon, but we cannot execute them without the help of volunteers. Below is the information for three ways to get involved:
Gifts of all amounts are vital to ensure that the opportunities and programming SJSA offers to young people will be sustained. To make this happen, we rely on gifts from friends and community members like YOU.
For reference, our non-profit Tax ID # is 81-3672824.
We accept donations such as:
- 100% cotton quilting fabric
- embroidery floss, thread needles, bias tape, tools, buttons, rotaries, scissors, etc.

We are currently seeking volunteers to hand embroider the blocks our youth make in workshops. Submit your name and address and we will mail you a block that has been secured with fabric glue. You have 30 days to embroider it- with any design or stitch and mail it back! It will then be put in a social justice youth community quilt.
