Stitch. Resist. Persist is a free 5 day after-school SJSA program for any high school student in the Bay Area Class. Classes are Monday- Friday from 3:30 - 7:00 pm. The Equal Justice Society celebrates its 17th anniversary with an "Art + Youth" gala uplifting art as a vehicle for social justice and the youth and young adults as our torchbearers in the civil rights movement. SJSA will be facilitating a workshop and showcasing youth art quilts as well.
The Pick Museum of Anthropology presents "Quilts and Human Rights" which features quilts from around the world honoring champions of human rights and documenting quilt making as a means of coping with oppression, and examining how quilts raise awareness of global social issues.
