JANUARY 2020 BLOCK OF THE MONTH
Currently, SJSA has an exhibit opening at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY that will run until March 10th, 2020. As part of this exhibit the museum asked us to participate in their Block of the Month program! The block we submitted was designed by a high school student from Baltimore, MD named Leland and the paper pieced pattern was created by Melinda Newton (@quirkygranolagirl). I hope you consider creating one (or both!) of these blocks and posting it on social media to amplify youth work and SJSA's message! We also have cross stitch and embroidery patterns as well so others who do not embroider or sew can participate too!
FEBRUARY 2020 BLOCK OF THE MONTH
This block is the second in SJSA's BOM series and we hope you enjoy making the block!
This block was inspired by a youth artist named Mailan and designed by Latifah Saafir. Join us in a wakeup call to celebrate beauty in a socially conscious world!
