Ashley Cyprian is an artist and educator with a passion for all things social justice. Raised in the city of Santa Ana, CA, Ashley grew up surrounded by little to no representation of Black Excellence yet this did not stop her from blooming into who she is today. Although she was taught self-hatred and grew up in poverty, Ashley thrived and learned the importance of hard work and what it means to organize with confidence. Ashley joins the SJSA team with over seven years of experience as a youth worker and youth advocate with organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister, Girls Inc., The Boys and Girls Club, Think Together and most recently the Santa Ana Unified School District. Ashley is excited to contribute her knowledge and skills to the SJSA team, empower young people and plant seeds of justice, compassion and self-love through her work.
